Annual wage estimates from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics program, May 2024 release. Wages are the BLS estimate of straight-time pay including base, commissions, and production bonuses — but not equity, signing bonuses, or annual performance bonuses. For tech roles where stock comp is a meaningful part of total comp, treat these as a floor for cash earnings, not a ceiling on what people actually take home.
Some metros and occupations have suppressed cells where the sample is too small to publish a percentile reliably. Those show as N/A rather than a guess.
