History
Canada's second-busiest airport and the country's main transpacific gateway. Opened on Sea Island in 1931. Air Canada and WestJet both operate Pacific gateway hubs here; the airport is the cleanest single domestic route into Canada from East Asia. The US Customs and Border Protection preclearance facility allows passengers to clear US customs in Vancouver before boarding US-bound flights.
