How to play

The goal. Move all 52 cards onto the four foundation piles, one per suit, building each from Ace to King.

The deal. Seven tableau columns are dealt with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 cards respectively. The bottom card of each column is face-up; the rest are face-down. The remaining 24 cards form the stock pile in the upper-left.

Tableau moves. Build down by alternating color. A red 7 can move onto a black 8; a black Q can move onto a red K. You can move a single card or any valid descending alternating-color run together. Empty tableau columns accept only Kings (or runs starting with a King).

Foundation moves. Build up by suit, Ace through King. Once a card is on a foundation it stays there.

The stock. Click the stock to draw cards into the waste pile. Draw 1 mode draws one card per click; Draw 3 draws three at a time and only the top one is playable. When the stock empties, click the empty slot to recycle the waste back into the stock (unlimited recycles in v1).

Moving cards. Drag any face-up card (or a valid run) to a destination pile. Or click a card to select it, then click a destination. Double-click a card to auto-move it to its foundation if a legal foundation move exists.

Auto-finish. Once every face-down tableau card has been revealed and only foundation moves remain, the Auto-finish button enables; pressing it animates every remaining card to its foundation.

Hint, Undo, Redo. Hint cycles through legal moves at the current state. Undo / Redo step through your move history with no cap. Using Hint or Undo does not disqualify your win for the personal-best record — the section is anti-gamification.

Keyboard shortcuts. H hint · P pause · Cmd/Ctrl+Z undo · Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+Z redo · R deal a fresh game.

About this page

Each deal is a fresh shuffle of a standard 52-card deck, played by Klondike rules. Cards are rendered in HTML and CSS — no image assets — so the page loads instantly and stays small. Drag-and-drop uses Pointer Events so it works equivalently on mouse and touch devices.

Nothing leaves your browser. The deal, your moves, your timer, and your win record are all local. Personal best per draw mode and your win/loss/streak stats are kept in your browser's localStorage; clearing site data resets them. There are no accounts, no leaderboards, no telemetry beyond the site-wide page-view counter.
