Tien. Tien's counterpunching return game is the kind that ages a 29-year-old's serve quickly, and his 59–32 career hard-court record at 20 is the résumé of a player still accelerating. Borges is no pushover — a 2024 fourth round here says the court suits him, and his 25 wins this season came against real fields — but he has not solved this particular puzzle in two tries. New York noise for a Californian teenager-till-recently: the third try looks hardest.
