How it went

A 10–7 conference championship, at altitude, in January: Courtland Sutton's 6-yard catch put Denver up 7–0 before five minutes had gone, and the Broncos did not score again. Drake Maye threw for 86 yards — eighty-six — and ran for 65, including the 6-yard touchdown that tied it before halftime; Andy Borregales's 23-yarder in the third quarter was the winning score. New England ran for more than it threw for, forced two turnovers and gave up none, and went 6-for-18 on third down, which was enough against a Broncos offense that managed 181 yards behind Jarrett Stidham. 10–7, and the Patriots to Super Bowl LX.
