The story this board tells: Novak Djokovic came from two sets down to beat Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final — a 19th major, and the first double career Grand Slam of the Open era — having put out four-time defending champion Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals; Barbora Krejčíková won the women’s singles unseeded, saving a match point against Maria Sakkari in a 9–7 deciding set, and took the women’s doubles with Kateřina Siniaková the day after; Naomi Osaka withdrew after her opening win and Roger Federer before the fourth round; and this was the last Roland-Garros played to advantage final sets, the 10-point decider arriving the following year.
