The top seeds, but not untroubled. Heliövaara and Patten have needed a champions' tie-break in the second round and a 7-6-in-the-third over Pavlásek and Rikl in the last, winning two of their three rounds on the finest margins grass offers. Andreozzi and Guinard have been the tidier pair — three rounds, one dropped set — but they haven't yet met a return unit that punishes a loose service game the way the No. 1 seeds do. On grass the pair that holds serve into the breakers usually wins them, and over five or six of those, that edge is still Heliövaara and Patten's.
