Merrillville
Summary
Cyber defense seat at a regional bank, weighted toward governance, risk and compliance rather than pure operations: cybersecurity risk assessments, periodic testing and validation of security controls, tracking findings, vulnerabilities, risk exceptions and remediation to completion, and maintaining security policies, standards and control documentation. The same person supports internal and external audits, regulatory examinations and compliance reviews by gathering evidence, and validates vendor compliance reports as part of third-party risk management. Day-to-day cyber defense work is also in scope, including security monitoring, alert review, vulnerability management and incident response, working across IAM, information security, enterprise IT, risk, compliance and internal audit.

Merrillville
$133.4k–$200.1k
Summary
Enterprise security architecture leadership at a large regulated utility, reporting to the head of architecture and setting the security vision, target architecture, standards and capability roadmap across the application development, infrastructure, security, data and PMO teams. The work is translating business requirements into architecture blueprints and high-level designs for the most complex components of a program, then governing them through architecture review boards, solution architecture reviews and exception management. The required bar is ten or more years of enterprise-wide architecture with depth across vulnerability management, network security, identity management, firewall management, endpoint protection, risk management, incident response, penetration testing and SIEM.

About this page
Every posting is classified into one of three AI buckets: AI required when the description names specific AI tools as required skills (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) or names LLM/agent/RAG/embeddings as core to the day-to-day; AI mentioned when the description mentions AI tooling in passing without it being the core skill; No AI mention when the description contains none of the relevant keywords. Each row shows the matched keyword evidence inline and surfaces named AI developer-productivity tools as expanded-row chips, so you can judge the signal for yourself.
The geographic filter is opinionated, and here it is five counties: the Lake–Porter–Jasper metropolitan division (which still includes Newton, despite the 2023 rename dropping it from the name) plus the Michigan City–La Porte MSA next door. Unlike every other board on this site, the core county does not collapse to one label. Merrillville is the anchor because the headquarters are there — NiSource and NIPSCO, Centier Bank, White Lodging, MonoSol — but Hammond and Gary are both larger cities, so filing their postings under “Merrillville” would be a lie the map would then repeat. Every municipality outside Merrillville carries its own city label, its own county, and its own pin: Hammond, Gary, East Chicago, Whiting, Munster, Highland, Griffith, Crown Point, Hobart, Schererville, St. John, Dyer and the rest of Lake County; Portage, Valparaiso, Chesterton, Burns Harbor and Hebron in Porter; Michigan City, La Porte, Westville and Long Beach in LaPorte; and Rensselaer, DeMotte, Morocco and Kentland in the rural south. The board stops at the Illinois line, and for many people here that is the wrong side of the commute — a large share of the Region works in Cook and Will counties. It stays out anyway: admitting Illinois to the filter would let every “Chicago, IL” posting in the corpus through, and Region employers post their Region roles with Region cities, which is what this board shows. Berrien County, Michigan and St. Joseph County (South Bend’s own board) are out for the same reason of not claiming a neighbor’s shed. Remote postings are included only when the employer also has an office, plant or campus somewhere in the five counties — otherwise anywhere-in-the-US remote noise would swamp the page. Use the Location filter to narrow to a specific city.
This page is an independent aggregation. Mungomash is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of the employers listed. Application-status tracking and email alerts are out of scope. Per-posting salary ranges are surfaced inline when the employer discloses one — structured ATS fields first, JD-body prose as a fallback; rows with no disclosed range render no chip.
