Tommy Paul won two sets without much trouble, could not touch Dino Prizmic's serve in the third, and finished it in the fourth. Prizmic landed 35% of his first serves in the opening set while Paul won 94% of the points behind his own; by the third the Croatian had found the range, took the only break point he saw to lead 6-5, and served it out — the one set in which he won more points, 37 to 31, and the only one in which Paul had no break chance at all.
